Young Children's Story Competition Results 2018

Congratulations to the winner Cody Southern, with our two runners up being Imogen Teare and Edith Clarke. There were also seven Highly Commended stories. All 10 winners received Waterstones book tokens, with their winning stories being displayed in the children’s section of Yeovil Waterstones.

BOOKS that you may like to read before that date are:-


A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. People in Ove’s neighbourhood call him “the bitter neighbour from hell.” But behind Ove’s cranky exterior lies a story and a sadness. We learn more about the reasons behind Ove’s grumpy façade and maybe more.


Romany and Tom by Ben Watt. There is an interesting background to Ben Watt. who has a love of music, and is a literary talent. This is his second book; a memoir about his parents. Mum, Romany, and dad, Tom, have had a life that will bewitch the reader.
