
Congratulations to the winner Cody Southern, with our two runners up being Imogen Teare and Edith Clarke. There were also seven Highly Commended stories. All 10 winners received Waterstones book tokens, with their winning stories being displayed in the children’s section of Yeovil Waterstones.

Artist, explorer and benefactor of Kew Gardens
An illustrated talk given by Gina Merrett Smith, artist, tutor and nature photographer, on the fascinating Victorian life of Marianne North, a lady who painted her way around the world, and donated over 800 of her paintings to Kew Gardens. Learn about Marianne’s travels, paintings and connections with famous people such as Charles Darwin and Edward Lear. This talk will appeal to artists, gardeners, lovers of literature, travellers and those who love history.
