Sharing original poetry and song
An opportunity for people to share their original poetry and song is starting in Yeovil this summer. Hosted by Same Difference Live Arts at Yeovil Library, open floor acoustic sessions will take place every fourth Saturday of the month.
"We hope to create a friendly and inclusive space for people to bring their own work to share with others who enjoy writing and would welcome an opportunity to perform their own poetry and song. It's also a chance to meet other writers, network, and encourage each other. Manifesto! Open Floor is for people of all ages and abilities, including people who would like to come along and just listen, that would be great too."
Award-winning Yeovil based Same Difference Live Arts is committed to inspiring people to grow their own artistic talents. The collective fields experienced facilitators working with groups including elders with dementia and people with learning disabilities, and seeks to widen community participation in the arts through projects with local, regional and national cultural organizations.
The first Manifesto! Open Floor session takes place on Saturday 23rd August 2014, 12:00-14:00, in the Performing Arts library, top floor, Yeovil Library. Enquiries to manifestopenfloor@gmail.com.
